For almost thirty years the government has outright lied to American citizens claiming that a crashed jetliner ignited fires that were so hot that the structural steel beams softened to the point of failure resulting in the collapse of WTC1 and WTC2.

Nonetheless compelling evidence suggests that powerful explosive forces were involved.

George Pataki then governor of New York state explains that the building concrete was literally pulverized.

The concrete was pulverized and I was down here Tuesday and it was like you were on a foreign planet all of Lower Manhattan not just this site from river to river there was dust powdered 2 to 3 inches thick the concrete was just

In addition to generating tons of pulverized concrete, another freakish incident reported by many observers involved accounts of molten metal.

“You get down below and you’d see molten steel—molten steel running down the channel rail, like you’re in a foundry, like lava.”

According to an article from the LiRo Group, a top-rated

Architecture, Engineering and Construction Firm:

The removal of debris from the collapsed areas requires the safe lifting and maneuvering of very heavy steel beams, often twisted and tangled … Some beams pulled from the wreckage are still red hot more than 7 weeks after the attack, and it is suspected that temperatures beneath the debris pile are well in excess of 1,000°F.”

Were the building fires responsible not just for the melting of metal but actually twisting and mangling huge chunks of it? An article from The Journal of Minerals, Metals & Materials Society explains:

“The fire is the most misunderstood part of the WTC collapse. It is argued that the jet fuel burns very hot, especially with so much fuel present. This is not true…. The temperature of the fire at the WTC was not unusual, and it was most definitely not capable of melting steel.”

Chemical engineer Robert Ireland says, “I knew that jet fuel which is essentially kerosene is not capable of melting steel nor iron.”

Yet somehow the Twin Towers literally blew up with volcanic-type forces that pulverized tons of concrete midair. These same forces were also powerful enough to hurl multi-ton steel beams sideways out of a WTC building for several hundred feet.

According to Europhysics News:

NIST provides no explanation for the midair pulverization of most of the towers’ concrete;

the near-total dismemberment of their steel frames;

or the ejection of those materials up to 150 meters [i.e. almost 500 feet!] …

Jason Chesire Chemical Engineer:

I’d like to know why NIST excluded the evidence of melting steel; why is this not included?”

When asked about subterranean molten metals Dr. Gross, speaking on behalf of NIST, piously responded:

Let’s go back to your basic premise that there was a pool of molten steel I know of absolutely nobody and no eyewitness who said so.”

So there you have it. According to the NIST no one witnessed molten metal. Case closed. End of discussion.

Nonetheless even the NIST acknowledges that jet airliners crashing into WTC1 and WTC2 did not contribute to collapse:

Both WTC 1 and WTC 2 were stable after the aircraft impact, standing for 102 min and 56 min, respectively. The global analyses with structural impact damage showed that both towers had considerable reserve capacity.”

That conclusion dovetails with what John Skilling, who is among the world’s top structural engineers, wrote in 1993. He did much of the work for Seattle’s downtown skyline and for several of the world’s tallest structures, including the Trade Center.

Skilling’s people did an analysis that showed the towers would withstand the impact of a Boeing 707.

“Our analysis indicated the biggest problem would be the fact that all the fuel (from the airplane) would dump into the building. There would be a horrendous fire. … The building structure would still be there.

Do you catch that? A Boeing 707 weighs over 60 tons. According to structural engineer John Skilling, who spent his entire career constructing high-rise buildings including the Trade Center buildings, that the combination of a fire and impact with a massive jetliner would not cause the building to collapse.

Frank DeMartini Manager World Trade Center Construction Project says:

The building was designed to have a fully loaded 707 crash into it that was the largest plane at the time. I believe that

the building probably could sustain multiple impacts of jet liners.

It is also noteworthy to take into consideration that with exception of the three 9-11 collapses, no fire – no matter however intense and prolonged – has ever caused a steel-framed high-rise building to collapse. Following are examples of high-rise fires that were far more severe than those in WTC 1 and 2, and Building 7. In these examples, the fires consumed multiple floors, produced extensive window breakage, exhibited large areas of leaping flames, and went on for several hours.

Here are just four examples from among dozens.

The One Meridian Plaza Fire

One Meridian Plaza is a 38-floor steel-frame skyscraper in Philadelphia that suffered a severe fire on February 23, 1991. The fire started on the 22nd floor and raged for 18 hours. It was later described by Philadelphia officials as “the most significant fire in this century”. The building did not collapse.

The First Interstate Bank Fire

The First Interstate Bank Building is a 62-story steel-frame skyscraper in Los Angeles that suffered the worst high-rise fire in the city’s history. From the late evening of May 4, 1988 through the early morning of the next day, 64 fire companies battled the blaze. The building did not collapse.

Caracas Tower Fire

The tallest skyscraper in Caracas, Venezuela experienced a severe fire on October 17, 2004. The blaze began before midnight on the 34th floor, spread to more than 26 floors, and burned for more than 17 hours. The building did not collapse.

The Beijing Mandarin Oriental Hotel Fire

Another spectacular example of a skyscraper fire was the burning of the Hotel Mandarin Oriental on February 9, 2009. The nearly completed 520-foot-tall skyscraper in Beijing endured a raging fire extended across all of the floors and burned out of control for hours. Despite this no large portion of the building collapsed.
