BLM Storms Chicago PD – Demands Looters Be Released

Chicago Black Lives Matter organizers gathered in front of a police station on the south side of Chicago where they were demanding the release of the more than 100 people arrested during the mass looting that occurred Sunday night.

The Marxist BLM group claimed that these criminals were simply “protestors” and that they were entitled to the loot they stole – calling the stolen goods “reparations.”

A flyer for the demonstration claimed that those “arrested last night” were “protesting another police shooting” and were taken to jail for “taking reparations from corporations.”

A speaker at the rally, Ariel Atkins, who is an organizer for Chicago Black Lives Matter, defended the robbery and destruction of property again as “reparations” for oppression.

“I don’t care if someone decides to loot a Gucci or a Macy’s or a Nike store, because that makes sure that person eats,” Ariel Atkins said, per NBC Chicago. “That makes sure that person has clothes.”

“That is reparations,” Atkins continued. “Anything they wanted to take, they can take it because these businesses have insurance.”

Protesters held up banners reading, “Our Futures Have Been Looted From Us. Loot Back.”

According to the Chicago Police Department, neighborhood “activists” may have instigated Sunday night’s unrest with a misleading video posted to social media where they claimed that the police unjustly shot a 15-year old unarmed boy in the city’s Englewood neighborhood.

The truth later came out that the neighborhood instigators – who demanded retaliation against the city over the shooting which set off the massive crime wave – had the facts completely wrong.

They eventually encountered 20-year-old Latrell Allen, whom police claim shot at least six rounds at officers while fleeing from CPD on foot. An exchange of gunfire ensued, and Allen sustained a non-life-threatening injury.

Allen is recovering in a local hospital. He is facing charges of attempted murder, according to NBC.

Members of the Chicago Black Lives Matter group that attended Monday night’s protest indicated that they simply didn’t care about the facts – and that the looters deserved the stolen goods nonetheless.

The BLM group claimed that those arrested were rightfully protesting an injustice when hundreds smashed windows into luxury stores along with smaller boutiques and larger electronics retailers, with some even packing a rented U-haul truck full of stolen goods to make for a more efficient looting experience.

In a statement issued Monday, Black Lives Matter targeted the city’s black Democrat Mayor Lightfoot, saying that she “has not learned anything since May, and she would be wise to understand that the people will keep rising up until the CPD is abolished and our Black communities are fully invested in.”

Police Superintendent David Brown countered any claims that this was a protest, telling reporters, “This was not an organized protest. Rather, this was an incident of pure criminality. This was an act of violence against our police officers and against our city.”
