A VET’S HONEST REFLECTION ON MEMORIAL DAY ~

MEMORIAL DAY REFLECTIONS

Memorial day isn’t quite the holiday for me that it is for others. Not to say that I’m going to be your run-of-the-mill VetFlake who wears “thank me for my service” apparel of any kind, will launch off on some tirade at the mention of “Happy Memorial Day,”  or one of those simpletons that wants you to “be mindful of your fireworks” with their pathetic sign announcing how they require your constant consideration. Celebrate how you want. It’s simply a painful, reflective day for me to honor and remember the brothers I’ve lost to failed US foreign policy. I’m not sure what’s different about this year, but it’s different. There’s a multitude of reasons why, but one of them is certainly the indignant rage boiling in my chest.

I could launch into how my friends in Iraq died for Globalist bankers. I could cover that the Federal government has had a schizophrenic relationship, at best, with Saddam Hussein, making him a welcome guest of the State Department while he was busy fighting a proxy war for the US in the Middle East against Iran. I could point out how Iraq was unarguably better off with Saddam at the helm. Then there’s Afghanistan. In almost two decades of which the United States has been engaged in conflict there, what has been achieved? Why did men I love more than I love myself get sent to die? Well, aside from the generational brainwashing. Aside from the predatory nature of recruitment efforts, looking to sink its claws into the sons and daughters of Dixie. The propaganda and knee jerk reaction of many is bound to be “muh terrorists,” and it’s an argument that looks fantastic; masses-ready at face value. Hell, even I see the merit, considering the nakedly evil nature of Islam.

The reality, however, is more nuanced. It’s no secret that the United States Federal government has a problem minding its own business. Whether it’s under the guise of “spreading democracy,”  “securing a region,” or a previously favorite argument of “supporting regional UN peace keeping efforts,” the United States has been a global leader in meddling in affairs that are none of our concerns. Boomers and their ilk love the “champion of freedom” argument, often making the claim that we have the responsibility to send our sons and daughters off to die, often for people wholly opposed to our way of life and (alleged) political values. Take a look at Assad. Or Qaddafi. In both instances, the US gave direct material aid to the “freedom fighters” against both leaders, only to have it come out in the wash that our government knowingly gave weapons and equipment to Jihadists. Qaddafi was building a pan-African bank, after NATO and US “liberation,” all of that gold disappeared. Oh, and don’t get me started on the flagrantly staged gas attacks on innocent Syrians, and how the international community was immediately damning Bashir al-Assad with evidence clearly showing otherwise. Does anyone else find it suspicious that ISIS literally apologized to Israel after an attack? What about Trump legitimizing the illegal seizure of Syrian lands in the Golan Heights by Israel?

All rumors and speculation aside, the Federal government preys on the sons and daughters of Dixie to fight its globalist wars. They push their social agendas in our schools and attempt to brainwash our children. They vilify faith in God and worship of his son Christ. They call us backwards, backwater, stupid, and ignorant because we don’t want cross dressing, mentally ill men reading to our children. They meddle in foreign affairs and pay for their globalist projects in the blood of a people they have nothing but disdain for.

I used to be overwhelmed with grief at the loss of my friends. No more. I remember their faces, their names, their wives, and the time we spent together. I remember the smokes we shared, the fights we had, and the beautiful sunrises in places we had no business conducting war in. I also remember that my friends died in Iraq because Saddam stopped selling his oil in dollars, weakening our fiat currency. I remember that my friends died in Afghanistan protecting poppy fields that are tended by pedophiles and child rapists. I remember that Afghanistan is now responsible for 90% of the worlds heroin, heroin that some of my friends died from after being cut off cold turkey by the VA fr
