THE PASSING OF A GREAT AMERICAN ~

Martin J. “Red” Beckman ~ 1928 – 2018

Kelso, Washington. December 30, 2018.

Martin J. “Red” Beckman went home to the Lord on December 30, 2018. Born in Shade Hill, South Dakota on November 21, 1928 to parents Ed and Johanna, Red came from a family of two sisters and five brothers, all but one preceding him in death. After serving in the Korean Conflict, Red married Earlene Hazel Gall on June 10, 1952 and brought into this world and raised four children, Bruce , Mayva, Doug, and Nita. Red and Earlene spent many years in Montana where he would become known as the “Fighting Redhead from Montana” for his dedication to the Constitution, the rule of law, freedom, and liberty.  Red knew the truth and its source in God, and authored many books which spoke to the liberties, freedoms, and responsibilities granted to us by Him.  A Christian, Patriot, and Constitutionalist, he inspired many to carry on his life-long mission, traveling the United States lecturing, appearing in seminars and radio broadcasts, all timeless work that is as relevant today as it was throughout his entire life. Red ran for Governor of Montana in 1988. He moved to Washington state in 2004 where he made his home with his beloved wife and life partner, Earlene.  He was preceded in death by his son Bruce and daughter Mayva, and is survived by his wife Earlene, son Doug  of Idaho, daughter Nita of Minnesota, son-in-law Steve of Washington, eleven grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his beloved family and a community of grateful patriots across the United States.
