From The 9/11 Article Series – Article #2: ANGEL IS NEXT
The morning of 9/11 was a maelstrom of confusion. While President Bush was sharing stories with school children his Chief of Staff Andrew Card whispered the news of a second World Trade Center building struck by an airliner in his ear. After Bush and his entourage were hustled aboard Air Force One an ominous message was relayed: “Angel is target.” An archived item from CBS News tersely explains:
A Secret Service page at 10:32 a.m. warned: “ANONYMOUS CALL TO JOC [Joint Operations Center] REPORTING ANGEL IS TARGET.” It turns out that “Angel” was the secret code word for Air Force One.

A September 20, 2001 World Net Daily (WND) article delved into this sinister incident in more detail:
“Air Force One is next,’ read the message received by the U.S. Secret Service at 9 a.m. Sept. 11, after two hijacked planes struck the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York.”
The article continues with:
“The terrorists’ message threatening Air Force One was transmitted in that day’s top-secret White House code words. As the clock ticked away, the Secret Service reached a frightening conclusion: The terrorists had obtained the White House code and a whole set of top-secret signals.”

So “Angel” was the codeword for Air Force One but only for one day – that day 9/11!
According to NBC News, “Because of intelligence of a specific terrorist threat to “Angel,” the code name for the President’s plane, Bush was sent essentially into orbit [flying at 48,000 feet].”

Clearly some individual, or team, with access to super-highly- classified secrets was involved with launching the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Over the years the “ANGEL IS NEXT” threat has been swept away into the dustbin of irrelevancy. Fifteen years after 9/11, on Sept. 10, 2016, an article from the Sydney Morning Herald informs that the reference to “angel” was deemed a “miscommunication” within a month succeeding 9/11:
A month later, Mr Bush and his team were told the reference to “angel” was a miscommunication from the ground.

This explanation seems suspicious. For example consider that a 9/7/2011 article ran in The Daily Mail titled:
‘Angel is next’: The terrifying message pilot of Air Force One got as he flew President Bush on 9/11
The lengthy article describes the actions that pilot Colonel Mark Tillman took in response to the “Angel is next” threat. But Tillman made no reference that the “angel threat” was deemed a miscommunication the very next month that succeeded 9/11.

All things considered does it not seem likely that the ANGEL IS NEXT message was not a miscommunication but in fact was genuine? A genuine message, whose existence accidentally slipped through to the public during the fog of the myriad events that occurred in rapid fire sequence on that calamitous day. The WND states:
The terrorists had obtained the White House code and a whole set of top-secret signals.
With no real substantive evidence WND blames all of this on Osama bin Laden and/or Iraq. Really?
The fact that the government no longer ascribes any significance to the ANGEL IS NEXT threat and discounts it as a “miscommunication” seems to indicate that the ANGEL message may well be genuine. If we eliminate Osama bin Laden and Iraq as suspects then who was involved in obtaining and disseminating super-secret information?
NSA whistleblower Thomas Drake is on record stating that Vice President Dick Cheney created a pre-9/11 back channel intelligence network.
“Cheney had quickly created his own intelligence network from those he trusted.”

Drake also revealed that Cheney realized it would take a 9/11 type event for Americans to relinquish their basic liberties.

In addition to his back channel intelligence operations Cheney was also involved with what has come to be exposed as a Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC). According to investigative journalist Seymour Hersh the JSOC was a special entity of the special operations community that reported to nobody but Dick Cheney.

On June 4, 2010 Max Fisher wrote in The Atlantic that,
“Col. Lawrence Wilkerson, the former chief of staff to Secretary of State Colin Powell, confirmed that Vice President Dick Cheney would personally give orders to JSOC commanders, circumventing many levels of the chain of command.”

Seymour Hersh went on to describe JSOC as an executive assassination squad:
Congress has no oversight of it. It’s an executive assassination ring essentially and it’s been going on and on and on.

What about Cheney’s counterpart National Security Advisor Condoleeza Rice? During a 16 May 2002 Press Conference Rice expounded:
“I don’t think anybody could have predicted that these people would take an airplane and slam it into the World Trade Center, take another one and slam it into the Pentagon, that they would try to use an airplane as a missile, a hijacked airplane as a missile.”

Evidently a key requirement to become a National Security Advisor is the ability to look right into a camera lens and lie through your teeth. Surely Rice was not only aware, indeed painfully aware, of the numerous NORAD military drills that centered on hijack scenarios using a plane as a deadly missile. Once one understands their proclivity to lie one can only wonder what else they’re lying about and concealing from the public.
Which leads right back to “ANGEL IS NEXT.” Was this threat used to keep President Bush out of Washington on 9/11 while Cheney, Rice, et. al. ran the tables? Let’s explore further.
Retired four-star general and Supreme Allied Commander Europe of NATO from 1997 to 2000, Wesley Clark weighed in stating:
“[After 9/11] we had a policy coup in this country … some hard-nosed people took over the direction of American policy and they never bothered to inform the rest of us. …
“This country was taken over by a group of people with a policy coup: Wolfowitz and Cheney and Rumsfeld and you could name a half-dozen other collaborators from the Project for a New American Century. They wanted us to destabilize the Middle East to turn it upside down.
“Was there a national dialogue on this? Did senators and congressmen stand up and denounce this plan? Was there a full-fledged American debate on it? Absolutely not!”

Can the “Angel Is Next” transmission really be dismissed as a miscommunication? Or is it a window that helps illuminate a myriad of dark secrets that encompass what we now refer to as 9/11?
