IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR THE DUMBED-DOWN AMERICAN ~

Republic vs Democracy

Most Americans don’t know a “democracy” from a “republic.” Our Nation, as founded, is a “Representative Republic,” having no connection to the Republican Party. Republics are governments run by “the people” via elected representatives who take an oath to protect and defend our U.S. Constitution and their State Constitution.

The KEY difference between a democracy and republic lies in limits placed on government by the Rule of Law, which has implications for minority rights.

In a republic citizens have rules/laws to protect their rights and all are to be treated equally in this form of government. Additionally, government CANNOT take any “rights” from the people. Why? Because those rights are provided at birth by our Creator and government’s ONLY  DUTY is to  PROTECT them.

In a pure democracy, the majority IS NOT RE-STRAINED by rules/laws and a majority can impose their will on the minority. That’s why it’s often referred to as “the tyranny of the majority.” Think about this. When a majority of people are ignorant of the law and want something — it could end up being really harmful to the minority. IF you’re not in the majority with democracy — good luck.

Our republican system of government in the U.S. is safer and better because we are not a pure democracy.

In America we use democracy to vote lawmakers into office. However, democracy is not how Laws are made because if that were the case, the majority would rule over the minority in every single case.

In some States, the people (using democracy) can vote on their ballots for Initiatives and/or Referendums. In those cases, the majority can rule on lawmaking, largely because their lawmakers send any successful issues for which the people voted, to judges who throw them out. The Initiative and Referendum voting system violates the Constitution, but sometimes you must try it, otherwise you would never get good legislation passed into law. In Washington State, a fellow named Tim Eyman has promoted this method for decades, because that State has been ruined by authoritarianism. Currently, Eyman is being trashed for trying to save Washington State from Communism. Sadly, that’s pretty much what you have running Washington State today, with their new governor.

How has the word “democracy” become so prevalent? It is because “republic” is used only once for every 100 times the word “democracy” is used in America — the Republicans are as much at fault as the Democrats on this. Remember the Legacy News Outlets, one after another saying “this will threaten our democracy”? They use this term over and over again. We have a State Rep who uses that term all the time. He is a “lawyer,” but he’s not the brightest bulb in the box, and sadly he just won his Republican Primary here in Idaho.

What we always hear the Leftist Democrats say to promote their ideology is: “this is a threat to democracy,” or —  “the end of our democracy.” That is absurd!

Are your children being taught about this in school today? I doubt it. Honestly, the education system in the U.S. is so poor today that we’re far behind other indus-trialized nations. But, it’s never too late to step-in and see what you can make happen. Get on the School Board, get materials that will help teach local kids the difference — even if it’s an afterschool program. Our children need to know about the differences between a democracy and a republic. It is a HUGE difference!  ~ Carolyn Kiesz
