….and I don’t believe this kind of thing is limited to the jocks. We all had better, more practical and more usable educations graduating from high school in the 50s and 60s than today’s kids holding 4-year college degrees and many with masters degrees, as well.

In a recent polling of 585 NFL players, nearly all of them were unsure of exactly what they are protesting.
Here’s a sampling of responses to: “What are you protesting by kneeling during the National Anthem?”
“Pretty sure it’s against Nazis – especially the white ones.“
(Yeah, ‘cuz it had to have been dem black ones that murdered all dem Jooz.)
“We’re protesting America becoming capitalistic instead of equal.”
(You mean instead of communistic, don’t you?)
“I’m protesting against Trump saying black lives don’t matter.”
(and can you cite a date and place where he said that?)
“We’re against global warming and the police..”
(Oh, my! Are the cops responsible for that too?)
“We’re showing the world that we care about, ah, things such as…. such as… ah, freedom from suppression?”
(Uh, believe you mean “oppression” don’t you? Who or what exactly is oppressing you?)
“Me and my fellow players are protesting the Constitution of Independence because of what it does to people of color.”
(Was that the one that said something about “all men are created equal?” It failed to add: “following that, Bub, it is up to you.”)
“We are displaying our right to stand up by kneeling for our beliefs.”
(Which are?)
“We are protesting Trump, because he, you know, keeping the black man down.”
(Yes, we’ve heard the rumor that he sho’ do be doin’ dat. Have you any evidence?)
“Myself is kneeling to show that just because I’m American don’t mean I got to act like one.”
(With grammar like that you sho’ don’t sound like one either.)
