Told Ya?
I take no pleasure in being right about how the anti-gun left would utilize it’s supposed power, to try and go after the “choke points” for gun buyers and, that prediction came true immediately.
Trying to appease the social snowflakes, no less than 13 companies have now severed ties with the NRA, and several card processors are in “deep thought” about ending their relationships with gun manufacturers and sellers.
United and Delta both said that they were going to abandon their discounting programs for NRA members.  THERE’s TWO AIRLINES I WILL NEVER FLY AGAIN.
Other institutions that will no longer ever see a penny of my money include:
Enterprise rentals
National rentals
Alamo rentals
Insurance giant MetLife; Symantec, creator of the Norton anti-virus software and owner of the identity theft protection company LifeLock and First National Bank of Omaha, which previously offered the “official credit card of the NRA.”
Bank of America says it is “re-examining” its relationships with businesses that manufacture AR-15 rifles, according to a statement reported by Axios on Saturday.
I think these CEO’s are pretty misguided. One of the Reasons that tens of millions of people voted for Donald Trump was because they thought that Hillary would attack their 2nd amendment rights.  While they think they are doing the socially “right” thing, as they appease the snowflakes that have NO CLUE what they’re talking about, what they don’t understand is that gun owners are the silent majority.
Most gun owners will never be seen at a rally wearing vagina hats. Most gun owners will never try and block a college campus because someone’s going to speak there that has a view they don’t like. Most gun owners don’t take to the streets to protest the police shooting a black criminal.  Most gun owners don’t align themselves with “antifa” and eat Tide pods.
In other words, most law abiding gun owners are men and women of character. They go to work, they go to church, they raise families. They don’t have time to organize walks and marches and riots and protests. They’re too busy making money that Uncle Sam taxes them on, so Uncle Sam can  support the idiots doing the rioting.
Maybe it’s the fluoride in the water. Maybe it’s the mercury in the vaccines. Maybe it’s all the aluminum in our pots and pans. Maybe it’s decades of being brain washed in leftist schools. Maybe it’s the breakdown of morality. Maybe it’s the breakdown of the nuclear family. Maybe it’s the rise of 100+ descriptions of gender. Maybe it’s the replacement of mental institutions with drugs. Maybe it’s a lot of things, but I’m witness to the most dumbed down generation this nation has ever seen.  I’m embarrassed by it to be honest.
The social engineering that this nation has endured over the past 40 years, has produced something never really seen before in an advanced civilization. We have kids shooting kids, Cities like Chicago with hundreds of murders annually, we have Riots, we have burning cities, we have kids so fat that the Army says they can’t enlist them, they can’t throw a grenade.  We have schools teaching how to put condoms on cucumbers, but they outlawed  The adventures of Huckelberry Finn.
We have double speak that’s so in your face, that how could any child be lambasted for not understanding it?  We see Hollywood starlets come out on the run way with the barest of clothing, see through dresses with pasties on their nipples, and then those very women go on TV shows and deplore men for objectivizing them.  We have professors in Colleges teaching already mushed up, brain washed little products of failing schools, that the problem is the white man.
We have somewhere north of 100 suicides a day, 100 opioid deaths per day, and 1 in 5 kids is on some form of drug before they’re 6 years old. We have a media, controlled by 6 corporations, that all toe the same leftist agenda. See any problems there?
And somewhere, lost in this haze of perpetual madness, are real men and women. Genuine people that ask themselves every day “What the hell is going on?? What happened to this Country??”  I can tell you, but I won’t. Why? Because when I lay out facts that run against the “fake news” that most people have ingested, they either refuse to believe it, or  I’ll get attacked.  I mean think about it. To this day there’s millions of people that somehow still believe that 9/11 was carried out by 19 guys with box cutters that couldn’t master flying a Cessna 150, but somehow magically managed to fly commercial jets into the towers. Right there, that should suggest to you that the amount of people that can think logically is at an all time low.
So, the agenda driven left has managed to corral its snowflake audience and pressure up the school kids and businesses to put pressure on the NRA. Once again, had the snowflakes really known the truth about things, maybe, just maybe their relentless energy could be put to good use. But no, they’re never told of the realities, just what the liberal elites want them to believe.
I almost wish that for a very short period of time ALL guns were illegal in the US. Why? Because far from being the salvation against crime in America, our crime rate would soar so high, that those very flakes demanding gun illegality, would be in Washington begging for everyone to be armed.  See, they just don’t know the facts.  Here are a few, and this study was authored by Dr. Kleck, a professor at the school of Criminology in Tallahasee,  who is a member of the ACLU, Amnesty International USA, and Common Cause. He is not and has never been a member of or contributor to any advocacy group on either side of the gun control debate:
Guns are used 2.5 million times a year in self-defense. Law-abiding citizens use guns to defend themselves against criminals as many as 2.5 million times every year — or about 6,850 times a day. [1] This means that each year, firearms are used more than 80 times more often to protect the lives of honest citizens than to take lives.

Of the 2.5 million times citizens use their guns to defend themselves every year, the overwhelming majority merely brandish their gun or fire a warning shot to scare off their attackers. Less than 8% of the time, a citizen will kill or wound his/her attacker

Even anti-gun Clinton researchers concede that guns are used 1.5 million times annually for self-defense. According to the Clinton Justice Department, there are as many as 1.5 million cases of self-defense every year. The National Institute of Justice published this figure in 1997 as part of “Guns in America” — a study which was authored by noted anti-gun criminologists Philip Cook and Jens Ludwig.

In “A Tribute to a View I Have Opposed,” Marvin E. Wolfgang writes that, “What troubles me is the article by Dr. Gary Kleck and Marc Gertz. The reason I am troubled is that they have provided an almost clear-cut case of methodologically sound research in support of something I have theoretically opposed for years, namely, the use of a gun in defense against a criminal perpetrator…. I have to admit my admiration for the care and caution expressed in this article and this research. Can it be true that about two million instances occur each year in which a gun was used as a defensive measure against crime? It is hard to believe. Yet, it is hard to challenge the data collected. We do not have contrary evidence.” Wolfgang, “A Tribute to a View I Have Opposed,” The Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology
There’s a good reason the anti gun snowflakes don’t know of this statistic. It goes against the agenda of the new world order folks. It completely topples their argument against gun ownership.  You’ll never see that data on CNN or MSNBC. It’s toxic to them. But it is true.  Now, are you delusional enough to think that if guns were outlawed, the people instigating these 1.5 to 2.5 million violent crimes each year  are going to just go away? If you are, then please seek treatment. Our crime rates would spike to levels previously only seen in the hell holes of the world. I just wish people would understand that.
The Market:

The week was shortened by a day because of the Monday Holiday. On Tuesday through Thursday, we had a pretty good read on it, suggesting that there was going to be incredible chop, and that it wasn’t a time to get too brave.
We’d see the market soar for 330 points and then fall all the way to RED! Then it might bounce and recover some. Or, it might “headfake higher’ and roll back over. It was a mess.
Then Friday came, and we blew it. I figured that Friday was going to follow the same pattern and it did start out that way. But in the afternoon, because of the comments of some Fed heads and Blackrock’s analyst, they shook off the fears and this time when we gained 350 points, it stuck. We didn’t sink back down. I thought we would.
Okay, so what’s going on? Well earlier in the week the minutes of the Fed meeting were released and a lot of people thought that it was more “hawkish” than they expected, meaning there could be more rate hikes than thought. So the market was going through its gyrations trying to deal with that. But it looked like the market might actually start rolling downhill, and they hatched a plan to save it.
So, what happened is that they dredged up Fed head Bullard, the perennial “keep rates at zero” guy, and put him on TV to say that he didn’t think there was a need for the Fed’s to do any more than 3 rate hikes at most. But when that didn’t give them the juice they hoped for, they trotted out more Fed heads,  This time it was Dudley and Rosengren, heavy hitters.
What they had to say was dumbfounding at least.  Dudley said he sees bond purchases as a viable tool is the US rates return to near zero. Rosengren said it was quite likely the Fed will need bond buying policies in the future. Uhm, excuse me? Is this the same Fed that’s been telling us it was going to normalize its balance sheet and work off the 4 trillion parked there?? Yerp.
Well the Street LOVED it. They couldn’t buy stocks fast enough. Here was the Fed telling them that if things got funky they’d be right there buying up all manner of bonds again, and basically  restarting QE.   Well isn’t that interesting? It is indeed.
So, that’s it? We have the all clear now and we can just pile into stocks and they’re magically going to continue higher and higher because the Fed’s “got your back?”  Maybe. But it is interesting that they saw something ugly enough that they figured they’d best get out in front of things and help goose it along.
I wasn’t born in Missouri, but I’m thinking “show me” here. That big push Friday did get the DOW and S&P above their respective 50 day moving averages, but it also places them right at an area where the rally failed just 5 sessions earlier. If the DOW gets to 25340 and holds a close, and the S&P nails 2755 and holds, then I have to guess that they’re going to attempt a run at the old highs. But if we can’t get past those levels, we’ll either sink lower, or they’ll trot out more talking heads.

Interesting times folks
