MAN GETS BITTEN BY RATTLESNAKE, BUT HIS DAY GOT EVEN WORSE WHEN HE SAW THE OUTRAGEOUS BILL

It’s hard to imagine something worse than being bitten by a venomous rattlesnake, but according to one man who recently experienced such trauma, there is something worse — the hospital bill.

A Reddit user by the name of Dan_Haggerty10News posted the shocking image of his post-snake bite hospital bill with a caption that read, “This is the cost of a Rattlesnake bite in America.”

According to the total of the itemized expenses on the bill, the bite victim is in the hole for a mind-blowing $153,161.

Luckily, the hospital generously gave him a due date of July 27, giving him just two weeks to round up enough money to buy a decent house in a middle-class neighborhood.

The ridiculous charges showed an $83,341 bill for the pharmacy, a $22,433 charge for laboratory services, and a $17,766 intensive care charge and $21,225 for intermediate care, among others.

The bill indicates that the incident took place in California, which almost puts the outrageous costs in perspective… almost.

With the skyrocketing rate of illegal aliens using California hospitals as their general practitioner, it almost makes sense that hospitals are forced to charge American citizens so much for something like a snake bite.

If the snake bite victim isn’t able to negotiate a reasonable bill with the hospital, his next option will likely be bankruptcy court, as most can’t write a check for that kind of money, nor should they be forced to take out a second mortgage to pay for a hospital bill.

Hopefully, with enough media attention, the man will get the relief he deserves. He’s certainly earned it after getting bit by both a snake and the hospital billing department in one go.
