QUOTE OF THE WEEK

“The massive omnibus spending bill that just barely passed Congress last night is another monstrosity of profligate spending but it surpasses all other benchmarks for its deceptive wording and lies about its true meaning. Mainstream news sources acted critical of the bi-partisan (but mostly Republican sponsored) spending bill because of the usual pork barrel benefits for special interests, the freeze on VP Biden’s pay, and how it would let states opt out of healthy food requirements for school lunches, etc. But no one went into the details about how the Republican leadership betrayed everything they claimed the bill would do to stop Obamacare and the president’s illegal amnesty by decree…The Republican compromise bill has a whopping $512 billion for defense spending and $492 billion for social welfare and foreign aid. Both of these portions are filled with billions in spending…Of course, the main reason these omnibus spending bills contain so many special provisions for states and special interests is that the sponsors have to promise something for each of the politicians they need to get on board to form a majority. Many oppose aspects of the bill so it’s a matter of paying them off with things they want in order to overcome their resistance… would allow pension funds to break their agreements and start reducing benefits on the principle that ‘something is better than nothing.’…But the major Republican betrayal in this spending bill is found in what it doesn’t do: 1) It doesn’t block any of the president’s executive action on immigration and 2) the deal doesn’t roll back any major portions of Obamacare since it continues funding at the current levels…Obama was even so bold as tell a group of illegal immigrants in Tennessee that his immigration-law rewrite means ‘you’re not going to be deported.’ And worse, as I warned in the WAB, the de-facto amnesty covers about 12 million illegals living in the US, not 5 million as Obama claimed. By excluding only those who have committed crimes from the amnesty, everyone else qualifies and that’s at least 12 million… Another major betrayal by the Republican leadership occurred this week when they passed, with barely any dissent, a bill authorizing the capture of all private communications within the country, as long as it could be tied to a criminal investigation within 5 years. Law enforcement is supposed to dispose of the content after 5 years but that’s not likely. There is no oversight to ensure that. The bottom line is that NSA domestic spying is now legal in the US, under the guise of ‘protecting us’ from crime… If there was any doubt the globalists behind Obama (as well as the Republican leaders) are trying to destroy this nation and its culture, the foregoing litany of betrayals should erase any doubts.”
