Welcome to the NFL: National Fascist League

Welcome to the NFL: National Fascist League

“When and if fascism comes to America it will not be labeled ‘made in Germany’; it will not be marked with a swastika; it will not even be called fascism; it will be called, of course, ‘Americanism’” – (New York Times article published September 12, 1938.)

“We were disappointed to read Don’s (Jones) tweets during the NFL Draft. They were inappropriate and unacceptable, and we regret the negative impact these comments had on such an important weekend for the NFL. We met with Don today about respect, discrimination and judgment. These comments are not consistent with the values and standards of our program. We will continue to emphasize and educate our players that these statements will not be tolerated.”

That was the reaction of Miami Dolphins Head Coach, Joe Philbin, to Safety Don Jones who tweeted – “OMG,” and “Horrible” in reaction to ESPN’s display of a seventh round draft pick making out with his boyfriend. You read that right. Michael Sam, the NFL’s first open homosexual, who has been protesting to reporters that he just wants to be treated as “Michael Sam – the football player” and not “Michael Sam – the gay football player,” made sure that cameras caught him tonguing his boyfriend after the Rams picked him up in the seventh round of the NFL draft.

Apparently, it’s a big deal to be “Michael Sam – the football player” because I’m pretty sure that no president has ever called anyone drafted in the seventh round of an NFL draft to congratulate them.

Don Jones was immediately fined and suspended and probably would have had to run the gauntlet while Dan Savage and Perez Hilton strafed him with Louis Vuitton handbags if he hadn’t released an apology tout suite:

“I want to apologize to Michael Sam for the inappropriate comments that I made last night on social media. I take full responsibility for them and I regret that these tweets took away from his draft moment … I sincerely apologize to Mr. Ross, my teammates, coaches, staff and fans for these tweets. I am committed to represent the values of the Miami Dolphins organization and appreciate the opportunity I have been given to do so going forward.”

IN DEFENSE OF MICHAEL SAM:

We are supposed to believe that the team with arguably the best defensive line in the NFL saw a need to draft a player who is too small to play defensive line and who completely blew the linebacker drills, (Strictly Punintentional), at the combine. Could it be because he’s “Gay”?

Let me tell you what I think: The Commissioner of the National Football League – Lucifer, has an agenda that he’s been pushing on the league. Does it have something to do with his gay brother? I don’t know. I’m thinking it’s more of a worldview thing. I also think that he panicked about the stories that there would be about teams “Not drafting the first openly homosexual player,” and I think that he is either intimidated or enamored with the Pink Mafia.

I believe that Roger Goodell offered teams, under the table, an incentive to draft this player for publicity reasons.  I don’t know what it is but I do know that the last team in the NFL that “needed” a guy who doesn’t have a chance to ever play on their team is the St. Louis Rams. The Rams have two of the game’s best edge rushers and took a solid inside tackle high in the draft – they’re the best 4-man line in football.

Why do I bring this up? First off, to point out how lame the NFL has gotten under the political tenure of Roger Goodell. Secondly, it’s unfair for the Rams (dying to know what the owner was offered), but most importantly and you may be surprised to read this – it’s unfair to Michael Sam.  I do believe he may have had a chance to play somewhere in the NFL. Dallas, believe it or not, has an awful defensive line. If Dallas had taken him with their last pick in the draft it may have made sense. Not in St. Louis. Something stinks.

While I completely object to pandering to the Alphabet Mafia and I think homosexuality is a death-style, I feel sorry for Michael Sam in this case. It seems as if he’s being used as a pawn and simply being set up to fail. In the meantime, the NFL can claim victory as a great leader in Civil Rights: “We’re not homophobes – we love ‘the Gays.” The Rams can say legitimately – “he couldn’t make the team.” And the “problem” will be out of the NFL just like the “problem” that was Tim Tebow. The NFL should be big enough for both Michael Sam and Tim Tebow, if they could play. It should be a meritocracy, instead it’s an oligarchic, fascistic, steaming pile of Goodell. And for the time being, if you say anything negative about the NFL’s promotion of an abhorrent lifestyle, you will be crushed.

“The NFL will not tolerate any negativity from within its own ranks about the Sam story,” writes Frank Schwab, editor of Shutdown Corner. “Most of the reaction has been very positive. And if you’re a NFL player and you don’t agree with Sam’s lifestyle, you better keep that to yourself. The NFL is making sure that anyone wanting to turn this positive story into something negative will pay the consequences. There’s way too much at stake for the NFL to be passive about this.”

The problem with the NFL is that it is a protected monopoly. Protected by the government. Change isn’t going to come to the NFL unless they begin to lose money and the typical football fan who has put up with pink gloves and the “unprotected receiver” rule will continue to lineup for grift-iron crack.

Fantasy leagues, gambling, the nagging wife, an excuse to drink with the guys, are just a few of the reasons that the NFL will get along with its bad behavior. The biggest reason of all, however, is Roger Goodell. Goodell has fashioned a political league.

What about the player’s union? Shouldn’t they be sticking up for Don Stone? Don’t count on any help from the player’s union – it’s Executive Director, DeMaurice Smith, was an understudy of Eric Holder and a plant from the Obama campaign. Yeah, it’s that bad.

When fascism arose in America it came wrapped in a rainbow flag and banning a cross. Men used to turn to the sports page to escape from news, business, and “Cultural Insider.” People could escape in movies or sports but now, both entities have been dragged into the PC gutter. Apart from the movie theater and the sports arena, there really is no modern escape for the typical man. Yet, isn’t that exactly how Orwell foresaw it?

“If you want a vision of the future, imagine a pink NIKE cleat stamping on a human face – forever.”
